Southerleigh head brewer Les Locke relocating to upstate New York

Les Locke, head brewer for the Southerleigh dining and brewing chain, is leaving San Antonio for upstate New York, MySA reports The relocation comes after Locke's girlfriend, Briana Hinojosa, landed a job with SingleCut Beersmith near Cooperstown, New York, according to the site. "I'm looking into breweries in the area, which will help round out my experience in brewing," he said. "It'd be really cool being able to get into a large brewery, producing a lot of beer with different equipment. "JC Norris will take over Southerleigh's brewing operations after Locke leaves in the coming weeks, MySA reports.

The San Antonio staple announced Thursday that its new restaurant Haute South will open Wednesday. The restaurant is located at The RIM shopping center and will include lunch, dinner, and take-out. The concept is from the same group behind Southerleigh Fine Food & Brewery at Pearl. SAN ANTONIO A new restaurant concept is coming to San Antonio next month. Southerleigh Hospitality Group will be opening up Southerleigh Haute South at The RIM. The new place is described as being a fine, casual concept with southern-style food like fried chicken, seafood, sandwiches, salads and a full oyster bar. We love connecting people to outstanding food experiences and The RIM seemed like a home run location.The new restaurant will be located at 5822 Worth Parkway in a space that is about 4,1000 square feet with indoor and patio seating.
