Why does the federal government want to keep this โdrug houseโ standing?
The federal government has sued the City of San Antonio to keep it from demolishing a nuisance property on the West Side that neighbors know as a "drug house." The home was the target of a city raid in August after complaints about suspected drug sales.

Demolition begins on the old county jail for UTSA expansion downtown
SAN ANTONIO โ As the University of Texas at San Antonio plans for a heavier presence downtown, the city and county are making room as well. The old county jail on Dolorosa Street was in the process of being torn down Friday. The land will be sold to UTSA, who plans to utilize the land for a $160 million building that will be an expansion of its college for business. Oops! Demolition company tears down wrong home in Dallas
DALLAS, Texas โ When you go to tear down a house, itโs probably a good idea to triple check the address. Thatโs what one Texas company is learning after it demolished the wrong house, KTVT reports. A crew tore down a 97-year-old house on the same street as the one that was actually supposed to be demoed. He inherited it from a friend who died three years ago and was planning to renovate it, KTVT reports. He says he wants to be compensated for both the value of the house and its sentimental value.
