Bexar County Sheriffโs Office identifies 3 arrested after raid on alleged gambling house
SAN ANTONIO โ The Bexar County Sheriffโs Office has released the names of three people who were arrested Wednesday night after a raid related to illegal gambling. A team of investigators descended on a home in the 300 block of East Mayfield that they believe was the site of the gambling operation and more. The sheriff said the raid came about through a joint investigation, initiated by a tip his office had received. โI can certainly see where the neighbors would not want this sort of operation going on in whatโs really a nice quiet little neighborhood,โ he said. Investigators seized more than $4,400 in cash, the motherboards from 18 gambling machines and a stolen car.

SAN ANTONIO โ The Bexar County Sheriffโs Office said it has shut down an illegal gambling operation in south San Antonio. Sheriff Javier Salazar said two people with unrelated felony warrants and an employee in charge were taken into custody. The person in charge will face a misdemeanor charge of promotion of gambling, the sheriff said. Salazar said more arrests and federal charges are anticipated in the case due to the commercial quantity of the meth. The sheriff said the bust was a joint operation between BCSO, the fire marshalโs office, the Texas Department of Public Safety and the state comptrollerโs office.
