18-wheeler topples over in accident near Wurzbach Road

Accident occurred around 4:30 a.m. Monday

SAN ANTONIO – An accident involving an 18-wheeler has closed the Wurzbach Parkway eastbound access road early Monday morning.

According to San Antonio Police, the cement truck was going south on Nacogdoches Road around 4:30 a.m. and had turned left onto eastbound Wurzbach Parkway when it went too fast and toppled over.

The truck caught a northbound vehicle in the right-turn lane on its front end just as it was entering Wurzbach Road, police said.

The cement truck happened to be fully-loaded at the time of the accident, officials said.

Police said that the Wurzbach Parkway eastbound access road will likely be closed for another three hours as a result of the crash.

No one was hurt.
