FORECAST
FREEZE WARNING
A Freeze Warning is in effect from midnight tonight through 9 AM Monday for parts of the Hill Country and southern Edwards Plateau. Temperatures will drop to 26–32°F, with wind chills as low as 24°F.
These conditions can harm sensitive plants and cause outdoor pipes to burst. Be sure to protect the 4 P’s: People—check on elderly neighbors and ensure everyone has a warm place to stay; Pets—bring them indoors; Plants—cover or move them inside; and Pipes—wrap or insulate outdoor faucets.
By Monday evening, the combination of clear skies, light winds, and dry air will set the stage for the coldest night of the season across central, eastern, and southern counties. Another Freeze Warning is likely, though confidence remains low on how far south and east it will extend.
REST OF THE WEEK
As winds pick up we’ll see a quick warm-up during the day. By Wednesday morning, temperatures will be noticeably warmer—about 10 to 20 degrees higher than Tuesday morning.
This warming trend will continue throughout the week. Looking ahead to next weekend, a new cold front is expected to bring a chance for rain. We’ll keep you posted!
