FORECAST
TODAY
We’ve been in a bit of rut the last few days and today will be no different. Morning clouds will give way to afternoon sun. The pattern finally changes tonight.
A STORM OR TWO, SPOTTY SHOWERS TONIGHT & EARLY THURSDAY
A storm system will pass to our north, bringing a broken line of showers and storms to the area overnight. For those in the Hill Country, a strong storm or two is possible. For San Antonio, we’ll be on the far southern end of the line, giving us lower odds of any severe weather. In fact, it may just mean some spotty showers for us around sunrise Thursday.
Rainfall totals will be less than a half of an inch for most. All rain should push east of San Antonio by 10 am Thursday.
IMPORTANT: The Thursday morning commute *could* be affected depending on how quickly the rain exits to the east. Plan now to deal with at least damp roads Thursday morning.
EASTER WEEKEND
A cold front will move through on Saturday. The latest trends bring the front in earlier rather than later, meaning it could arrive as early as midday. Along the front, expect a line of showers and storms, along with breezy north winds. The initial push of rain will move south by the late afternoon and evening hours on Saturday.
On Easter Sunday, disturbances in the upper levels will move across the area. This will stir up the potential for more showers. While it’s not a guarantee, it’s best to have a back-up, indoor option for any Easter egg hunts...just in case!
Regardless of how long rain sticks around, it’ll be much cooler Sunday! Highs will struggle to get out of the 60s. Plan those Easter outfits accordingly!
