East Central HS teacher resigns after accusations of sex with student

Case to be turned over to Bexar County district attorney

SAN ANTONIO – An East Central High School teacher has resigned days after she was accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a student.

The teacher, who a source said also worked as a coach for the district, was placed on administrative leave March 3, a day after high school administration was told about the relationship, according to a statement released by the district Tuesday.

The teacher has since resigned and the district is in the process of notifying the Texas Education Agency.

An East Central Independent School District Police Department report related to the criminal investigation had yet to be released to KSAT 12 as of Tuesday evening.

The district did confirm that the findings of the investigation will be turned over to the Bexar County District Attorney's Office.

The district would not say how long the teacher worked for ECISD.
