Thunder From Down Under dancers help out at Texas animal shelter after Harvey

HOUSTON – Dancers from the all-male revue Thunder From Down Under in Las Vegas spent Monday helping out at the Houston Humane Society.

The troupe showed their support for the Hurricane Harvey relief effort by bathing, playing and walking some of the animals left homeless by the storm.

Some dancers said the plight of the pets at the shelter made them a bit emotional.

“It’s getting a little emotional at the time when you see what these poor animals have gone through,” said Beau, one of the dancers.

The group will also raise money for the relief effort during the show Monday night at the House of Blues. Part of the proceeds will be donated to the Houston Humane Society.

The show has been running on the Las Vegas Strip for nearly 16 years.
