Enchiladas, paleta margarita must-tries at Southtown restaurant

Flavor Favs: Tito's Mexican Restaurant

SAN ANTONIO – With the concept of always trying something new, Mark Rodriguez is doing just that at Tito's Mexican Restaurant at 922 S. Alamo St.

"The idea for me is always give something new to the customers," Rodriguez said.

Rodriguez and his wife opened Tito's 13 years ago and have remained a constant in Southtown.

The restaurant thrives on showcasing their different menu items. For Rodriguez, it all started with his enchiladas. He was able to create different creams and sauces that produced different varieties of enchiladas.

Besides the tortas, enchiladas and fajitas, the margaritas are top notch, and Rodriguez prides himself on coming up with ways to enhance the drink.

Currently, the paleta margarita has been a big hit.

"I made a paleta and what we did is infused tequila in it," Rodriguez said.

Open seven days a week, there is no reason not to stop by and enjoy. Just make sure you go on an empty stomach.
