How to have a guilt-free Halloween this year

Keep candy calories at 100 or less

SAN ANTONIO – Halloween is less than two weeks away and that means candy galore, but all of those calories could come back to haunt you. Fortunately, there are some ways to keep those candy calories down.

Whether you’re doling it out or the kids are bringing it in, you may be tempted by all those Halloween goodies. You can still have all your favorites and keep your candy calories at 100 or below.

Hershey’s Kisses are less than 25 calories each, so about 4.5 of them come out to 100 guilt-free calories.

Snack-sized Kit Kats have two little crispy bars. You can have a package and a half to total 100 calories.

Halloween-sized Twix are a crunchy favorite. You can have two to reach your 100-calorie quota.

And a single Reese’s peanut butter cup is 110 calories, so you’ll be over the limit if you finish the whole thing.

If chocolate isn’t your thing, 25 fruity Skittles or five chewy original Starburst equal 100 calories.

For those who love Brach’s candy corn, 13.6 candy kernels are enough to reach your 100-calorie limit.
