SAN ANTONIO – Attorneys for former South San Independent School District Superintendent Ron Durbon spent Wednesday afternoon making the case that he was wrongfully terminated by the school boa
Lead attorney Jimmy Parks Jr. repeatedly questioning witness Ann Dixon's credibility and objectivity. Dixon is a former superintendent of several school district, and was brought in by the school board's attorneys as an expert witness.

Dixon testified that Durbon had a responsibility to make sure his staff posted an agenda for a late-hour special meeting of the board called by Board President Connie Prado, calling for Durbon to be disciplined.
Tensions between Durbon and Prado have been mounting, ever since Prado publicly criticized Durbon for failing to properly investigate claims that his son, South San Athletic Director Gary Durbon, viewed pornography on his office computer.
Durbon later criticized Prado in an editorial, mentioning her husband is a convicted felon.
The South San ISD School Board voted 4-3 to fire Ron Durbon in July.
Durbon is appealing his dismissal with the Texas Education Association. His attorneys will continue to call witnesses on Thursday.
