6 injured in wrong-way collision PT Cruiser crashes head-on into pickup truck on Loop 1604 and La Cantera Parkway No description found
SAN ANTONIO – A total of six people were hospitalized after a horrific wrong-way crash on the Northwest Side early Thursday morning.
Police said around 2:15 a.m., the driver of PT Cruiser was speeding the wrong way on Loop 1604 and La Cantera Parkway and slammed into a pickup truck head-on.
The impact crushed the PT Cruiser but police said the driver somehow survived and was taken to University Hospital in critical condition.
Police said five people in the truck were taken to Methodist Hospital and are all expected to recover.
Police said the driver of the PT Cruiser will be charged with intoxication assault.
Loop 1604 at La Cantera was shut down for hours as police cleared the scene.
