Spokesman Deon Cockrell said the trooper was assisting Bexar County sheriff's deputies in rounding up people who have outstanding warrants.

Cockrell said Cameron had a warrant issued by Hillsborough County, Fla., for violating the terms of her probation.

Records show Cameron has been on Florida's sex offender registry since 2008, when she was convicted of having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old boy.

According to that same record, Cameron is required to check in periodically with state corrections officials in Florida, notifying them of her whereabouts.

It said she last did so in Dec. 2011, indicating that she now lives in Bandera, Texas.

Despite numerous calls to Florida corrections officials and officials with Hillsborough County's sheriff's office, it still is not clear what Cameron allegedly did to violate her probation.

She's being held in the Bexar County jail with no bond set.
