Anderson was arrested after authorities set up a perimeter and brought in an SAPD helicopter and K-9 unit.

Marshals say police have been working the case against Anderson since March when the assault was first reported.

Officers were ready to make an arrest and called the U.S. Marshal Service to help take Anderson into custody.

"They conducted a pretty good investigation. They were able to obtain a warrant. Once they obtained a warrant, they contacted the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force for assistance in his apprehension," said Mark McPherson with the U.S. Marshals.

Authorities did not release details about the sexual assault case, but said the victim was 13-year-old girl.

An arrest affidavit stated Anderson is also allegedly involved in several other crimes including another sex assault case against a juvenile, a shooting, a hit and run, numerous home invasions and car burglaries.

According to the affidavit, police searched his home and confiscated military tactical ammunition and 100 AK-47 rounds.
