Plemmons, 30, disappeared while on vacation in Nuevo Laredo. His family believes he was kidnapped as he was heading to Mazatlan.
"He never showed up on the bus and all I know is what the lady at the hotel told me," said Maria Plemmons, his mother. "He left with the camera around 10 o'clock and never came back."
His family said he may have been trying to take pictures of a crime scene before his disappearance.
