Seguin student claims bomb threat at Lifegate Christian School was 'a joke'

Guadalupe County sheriff's: Boy, 16, arrested, charged with making terroristic threat

SAN ANTONIO – A 16-year-old boy was arrested in Guadalupe County after he admitted to hand-writing a letter that threatened to blow up Lifegate Christian School in Seguin.

Accoring to the Seguin-Gazette, Lifegate Christian school officials found the note lying in the hallway Monday morning.

Students were evacuated and taken to the Seguin-Guadalupe County Coliseum where they were picked up by their parents.

Seguin police detained the student and said he confessed to writing the threat as a joke.

The Seguin-Gazette reports the case was turned over to the county attorney's office for review.

The student faces charges of making a terroristic threat and making a false report, Guadalupe County sheriff's said.
