SAN ANTONIO – A convicted child pornography distributor has been sentenced to 30 years in prison, the Department of Justice said.
According to investigators, Charles Leroy Earl, 65, had more than 10,000 videos and 62,000 images depicting child pornography on two dozen computers and electronic devices.

The Beaumont Police Department said an undercover online session provided them with enough information to execute a search warrant at the defendant's home on October 4, 2011.
Earl pleaded guilty to the distribution charge on June 12, 2012. He had already served 12 years in prison for sexually assaulting a 13-year-old.
"He will, in all likelihood, spend the rest of his life in prison, which is apparently the only place where offenders like him can be prevented from preying upon vulnerable children," stated United States Attorney Robert Pitman.
