SAN ANTONIO – A 24-year-old female driver was charged with intoxication manslaughter after police said she hit and killed a 47-year-old man and injured a 36-year-old woman while they were walking on the city's West Side.

According to a police report, Sarina Sanchez was traveling northbound in the 10200 block of Ray Ellison Boulevard at 9:10 a.m. Monday, when she crossed into the southbound lanes and struck the victims.

Sanchez failed to stop and continued driving until the 2005 Toyota Corolla stopped in a heavy brush area, the report stated.

The deceased victim was identified as Charles White. The injured victim was identified as Priscilla White.

Sanchez was being held in the Bexar County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bond on the intoxication manslaughter charge and $1,600 bond on a drug possession charge.
