James Street passes away at age 65, led Texas to national championship

Legendary University of Texas quarterback James Street has passed away at the age of 65.

Several media outlets along with Longhorns Head Coach Mack Brown's Twitter account confirmed Street passed away from a heart attack.

Street played football at UT from 1966-1969 under legendary Coach Darrell Royal.

He led the Longhorns to the National Championship in 1969 and was a two-sport star, also pitching for the UT baseball team in the Southwest Conference.

Street is survived by his wife and four sons.
