Thanksgiving shoppers crowding grocery stores for last minute items

Last minute grocery shoppers are hitting the stores in search of a turkey and the side dishes needed to complete the perfect Thanksgiving meal.

"I came this weekend and did 85% of my stuff so I just want to come and get the fresh baked goods," said shopper, Margo Bolton.

Every aisle inside HEB on Wednesday was crowded with shopping carts filled with Thanksgiving favorites. The long checkout lines made some shoppers admit they may have waited to long before hitting the grocery store.

"A lot of people are going to do last minute shopping," said last minute shopper, Kelli Kaut. "A lot of people are procrastinators like myself."

HEB will be open Thanksgiving morning starting at 6 a.m. until 2 p.m.
