SAN ANTONIO – What started out as a bar fight, turned into a shooting in the parking lot of a north side shopping center, leaving two men critically injured.
Police were responding to a burglary around 2 a.m. near The Ridge shopping center off Loop 1604, when they heard shots fired.
"Officers were at the right spot at the right time and all the units worked very closely together to make the apprehensions quickly and safely," said Officer Douglas Greene, San Antonio Police Department.
The incident occurred when two men got into a dispute with another man inside a bar which escalated into the parking lot.
Both shooters were caught; one at the scene, and the other near Blanco Road and 1604 after a brief car chase.
Two men were transported to University Hospital with gunshot wounds.
