SAN ANTONIO – Three people were hospitalized after they were ejected from a car during an accident on the North Side early Monday morning.

The crash occurred just after 1:30 a.m. on Highway 281 South near East Sonterra.

San Antonio police said the driver lost control of his car, struck a guardrail and slammed into a pillar.

The impact of the crash caused the car to rollover. Police said three passengers were ejected from the car and transported to University Hospital.

Police said one of the passengers was in critical condition and the other two were in serious condition as of 8 a.m. Monday.

Police said the driver was not injured. It was unknown if the driver would be charged or what factors led to the crash.
