SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police arrested one of three people accused of stealing televisions and bedding from a motel.
An arrest warrant affidavit stated that a man rented the room at a Days Inn motel on Nov. 26, then left Laura Macias, 33, and another man behind in the room when he went out on a date.
The affidavit stated that Macias stayed behind in the room when the other man left the motel as well, then persuaded a night manager to give her a key to a second room.
The next day, workers reported that the flat screen TVs and bedding from both rooms were missing.
The motel manager and San Antonio police contacted the man who had rented the room.
However, he identified Macias as the person who actually stayed there, the affidavit stated.
Investigators later obtained surveillance video from the business and said it shows Macias and two other people carrying the TVs and bedding out of the rooms, the affidavit stated.
The affidavit does not list the names of the other people. The man who rented the room, though, does not appear to be a suspect, based on the affidavit.
