Third suspect arrested in brutal East Side slaying
Steve Pickens arested in connection to death of Reynaldo Guerrero
SAN ANTONIO – A third suspect has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of man on the East Side last December.
Steve Pickens, 33, was arrested by San Antonio police.
Pickens and two other men are accused of killing 34-year-old Reynaldo Guerrero during a botched drug deal on Dec. 3, 2014.
Guerrero was found dead in the back seat of his car. He was tied up and shot multiple times.
An investigation into the slaying by SAPD detectives led to the arrest of Michael Ramos, 23, the next day.
Ramos is accused of setting up the deal that led to Guerrero's death.
After further investigation, arrest warrants for capital murder were issued for Pickens and Dominique Green on Feb. 18.
The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force located Green Monday in an apartment complex in the 2300 block of Austin Highway.
