SAN ANTONIO – A Corpus Christi man who was swept away by raging floodwaters in Wimberley has been released from San Antonio Military Medical Center.

SAMMC spokesman Bob Whetstone said Jonathan McComb was released on Thursday.

McComb was treated at the hospital for a broken rib, a punctured lung and a fractured sternum after he was found on the banks of the Blanco River.

McComb, his wife and two young children were staying in a vacation home with five friends when flood waters swept the home away.

So far, only the body of Michelle Carey Charba has been found.

The McComb family dog survived the tragedy.
