New NISD high school receives name
SAN ANTONIO – The new high school built in the North Side Independent School District received its name Wednesday.
John Marshall Harlan High School was built on FM-471 inside the Bexar-Medina county line.
The school will open in 2017 and serve about 3,000 students.
John Marshall Harlan high was built in effort to help relieve overcrowding at Taft, Brennan and O'Connor high schools.
The school is named after John Marshall Harlan who served as an associate justice of the Supreme Court.
