CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The city of Corpus Christi is under a mandatory water boil notice Friday after water samples tested positive for E coli contamination.
City officials made the announcement Thursday afternoon.
According to KRIS-TV.com, residents and businesses were urged to boil water for at least two minutes before being used for drinking, cooking or ice.
Crews are working to flush the entire water system through fire hydrants.
The advisory is scheduled to remain in effect until at least Friday evening.
