Comal Crime Stoppers seek homeless aggravated assault suspect

SAN ANTONIO – Crime Stoppers and the U.S. Marshal’s Lonestar Fugitive Task Force are seeking the public’s help in locating the man pictured above.

The Comal County Sheriff’s Office issued a felony warrant on Wednesday for Richard Earle Towne II.

Towne, who also goes by the name “Earl” or “Sam,” is wanted for a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Towne was last known to be homeless and believed to be staying at homeless shelters in and around the New Braunfels and San Antonio area.

According to investigators, he may have bleached his hair. Towne is considered dangerous, and authorities are warning the public to not attempt to apprehend him.

Crime Stoppers is willing to pay up to $5,000 for any information that leads to an arrest.
