SAN ANTONIO – Marvin Castellon, 32, is accused of shoplifting with a twist—taking something from a North side Academy store without paying while also leaving behind something of his own.

According to an arrest warrant affidavit, surveillance cameras inside the store, located at Loop 1604 near Highway 281, captured the crime on Sept. 3.

San Antonio police said Castellon, who also goes by the name of Marvin Guzman, is seen in the video taking a pair of Timberland boots out of their box. They said he then removed his own shoes, put them into the box and put it back on the shelf.

The affidavit stated that Castellon put on the Timberland boots and tried on other clothing before walking out of the store without paying for the boots he was wearing.

A loss prevention worker at Academy confronted Castellon, but he left the scene.

Police arrested Castellon Thursday on a charge of theft.
