The bond money would go toward the construction of two elementary schools and a middle school, campus renovations, technology purchases and campus safety and security.

According to Templeton Demographics, BISD’s enrollment forecast shows the district growing from nearly 7,900 students this year to more than 12,300 by 2025-2026.

If voters approve the bond package, the first school that will be built will be an elementary campus designed to accommodate 850 students on a 20-acre tract on Dietz-Elkhorn Street next to the Front Gate subdivision in Fair Oaks Ranch.

Next in line to be built would be the new middle school, at a location to be determined. The second new elementary school would be built in the Esperanza residential development off Highway 46 East.

The bond proposal calls for big classroom expansions at Champion and Boerne high schools.
