17-year-old accused of raping ex-girlfriend

Police say teen admitted to crime in text message

SAN ANTONIO – A 17-year-old is facing sex assault charges after a complaint said he raped his ex-girlfriend.

Jeremy Rodriguez was arrested Monday based on the complaint made by his former girlfriend, who is 16 years old.

According to the arrest affidavit the victim called Rodriguez and asked for a ride home from the Target store in Alamo Ranch.

The victim told police Rodriguez did not drive her home, but instead to Henderson Elementary School where the two began making out.

She then told police Rodriguez forced himself on her, though she told him no.

The girl was able to get away, but Rodriguez still drove her home that night.

Police used text messages between the two and another person to make their case.

In the texts Rodriguez admitted to the assault. He is facing one charge of sexual assault.
