SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police have arrested a man and charged him with murder in the death of Jessica Edens, 25.
Edens burning body was found on May 11 on the side of a Wilson County road.

According to an arrest affidavit, Alejandro Marroquin, 33, and another man were with the victim the day before she was found dead.
A witness told police she was with several men on May 10 at a West Side home and said she heard screaming and loud noises coming from a room. She then saw Edens lying on the floor, unresponsive and covered in blood.
The affidavit states the witness saw the men carry the body into a car. The men then told the woman to get into the passenger seat.
She told police they drove around the city’s West Side and the men pawned a TV and ring belonging to Edens.
The men then tried to bury the body at Caliveras Lake but were unsuccessful, according to affidavit.
The group then drove into Wilson County, disposed of the body along County Road 202 and set it on fire.
Passers-by saw the fire and called the sheriff.
After leaving the scene in Wilson County the men then drove back into San Antonio and burned the car.
During an investigation, Marroquin’s wallet with his license inside was found near the body.
Marroquin has been charged with murder.
