SAN ANTONIO – 2 teenagers were wounded during an overnight shooting in a parking lot on the city's North Side, San Antonio police said Wednesday.
The shooting occurred around 2 a.m. in the parking lot of the Churchill Estates Townhomes, found in the 14100 block of Blanco Road.
Police said both of the victims during the shooting fled the scene. According to sources, one of the victims, shot in the back, ran to a nearby gas station for help but when no one answered he kept going. The teen ended up at the Seville Apartments on Blanco Road where emergency crews were eventually called.
Both victims were taken to local hospitals -- one at University Hospital, the other at Methodist Hospital -- for their injuries. Their condition is not presently known.
Police said they believe three people were involved in the shooting and that they found roughly 35 shell casings at the scene.
Neither of the victims were willing to describe their shooters. Witnesses however offered a general description.
At this time, a motive for the shooting is not presently known.
The investigation is ongoing.
