Police seek wanted man for July 4 fatal shooting

Arrest warrant has been issued for Dwayne Anthony Kines, 20

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Police Department has issued an arrest warrant for a man in the July 4 fatal shooting at a local food mart.

Dwayne Anthony Kines, 20, has been charged with murder in the death Deontre Lott, 21. 

According to police an argument occurred and as Lott's vehicle was attempting to leave shots were fired. Lott, riding in the car, was struck by gunfire and died as a result of his injuries.

Anyone with information on Kines whereabouts is urged to call Crime Stoppers at (210) 224-STOP.

Tips can also be texted to CRIMES (274637) or by visiting the Crime Stoppers website.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.

The San Antonio Police Department and Crime Stoppers want the public’s assistance in tracking down a man responsible for a fatal shooting.

Deontre Lott, 21, was shot and killed July 4 in the parking lot of the Hayes Food Mart, found on North New Braunfels Avenue.

According to police an argument occurred and as Lott's vehicle was attempting to leave shots were fired. 

Lott, riding in the car, was struck by gunfire and died as a result of his injuries.

SAPD needs help identifying the man seen in the photo above wearing a striped shirt.
