Churchill High School students mourn friend, classmate

SAN ANTONIO – Churchill High School students are mourning the loss of a fellow classmate.

According Aubrey Mika Chancellor, a spokeswoman with the Northeast Independent School District, Josh Pollard “went to sleep Monday night and did not wake up.”

Chancellor said the entire Charger community is in shock.

Pollard played football and baseball and was preparing to start his senior year at the high school.

Chancellor said the teen was best known for his infectious smile and desire to help others.

The school has grief counselors available to students and parents as they begin the healing process.
