SAN ANTONIO – The investigation continues into a Northeast Side shooting that left one man dead.
The San Antonio Police Department responded to the 4000 block of Sunrise Creek Drive Thursday around 11:30 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found Anthony Harrison, 24, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his legs and body in the street. Harrison was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center where he later died.
"His murder didn't fit his description," said Tiera Springs, the victim’s cousin.
Springs said her family has been provided few details from police.
Preliminary investigation information stated a witness said two vehicles drove up and began shooting at Harrison, who was walking alone at the time.
"Everyone's just in shock. It just seems so unreal," Springs said.
Friends and family said Harrison was working at a fast food restaurant while pursuing his rap career. He left behind a 5-year-old daughter.
"(It's) going to be so hard to explain to her that he's gone," Springs said. "He was one of a kind. So devastating."
Those who loved Harrison said they'll get through the difficult time together, and they'll always have his music.
