1 killed, 1 in critical condition after home invasion on West Side

At least seven men stormed into home, opened fire, police say

SAN ANTONIO – One man is dead and another fighting for his life in the hospital after they were shot in a home invasion on the city's West Side.

The information is limited right now, but police said witnesses saw at least seven people storm into the home. Once inside those men opened fire.

It happened about 8 p.m. Friday on the 100 block of San Eduardo.

Police said there may have been up to four people inside the home when the suspects jumped out of a car and forced their way in.

Two men were shot. One of the men is in his mid-20s, the other is in his mid-40s. Police said the man in his 40s died at University Hospital. 

Police believe everyone involved may have known each other. They are still working to figure out a motive for the shooting.

Police are used their eagle helicopter to search for the suspects. Witnesses were able to give them the suspects’ license plate number.

The suspects were last seen in a late model silver Mazda.
