Jose Ortiz-Lopez, 27, wanted on charge of aggravated sexual assault of a child

SAN ANTONIO – A man with ties to San Antonio's west side is wanted for sexually assaulting a young girl more than one year ago.

The U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force first asked for the public's help to find Jose San Miguel Ortiz-Lopez, 27, in May 2015.

"Back in May 2015, a little girl cried out to San Antonio Police Department and stated that she tried to fight off Lopez as he sexually assaulted her. Before officers could question Lopez, he fled the scene," said Deputy Chris Bozeman.

The alleged victim was under the age of 10.

Lopez has black hair and brown eyes. He is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds.
