SAN ANTONIO – A Floresville man who was convicted of an attack that paralyzed his ex-girlfriend two years ago has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.
In May, Brian Quintanilla was found guilty of second-degree aggravated assault causing bodily injury.

The sentencing phase had been canceled or rescheduled several times over the past few months.
KSAT 12 spoke with victim Chanel Garcia in 2014, just months after her injury. She said after Quintanilla picked her up and slammed her onto a concrete floor, she was paralyzed from the neck down.
Quintanilla got the maximum sentence and is not eligible for parole.
