SAN ANTONIO – A 7-year-old girl used her birthday to help others. Instead of collecting presents for herself, Jordyn Perez collected presents for children at North Central Baptist Hospital.
Jordyn’s mother said it started as a conversation. At first, Jordyn wasn’t too sure about giving her own gifts away, but eventually she got on board when she found out how many children she would help.
On Friday, Jordyn delivered the gifts she collected from friends and family.
“My mom talks about being kind every single morning when I go to school,” Jordyn said.
“We're hoping to make this a yearly birthday tradition. Hopefully, it will grow each year,” said Sondra Perez, Jordyn’s mom.
Sondra Perez said she’s very proud of her daughter.
