The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office said Carter’s manner of death was homicide caused by multiple gunshot wounds.

Employees told San Antonio police they were trying to help a customer whose car had broken down in the drive through when they found a man lying in a parking spot just outside the front door early Wednesday morning.

They called 911, and police responded to the business near Rigsby Avenue and Loop 410.

Police have not said whether the attack happened at the same location, or whether the victim may have been dumped or staggered there on his own.

Detectives said they found some blood in another area of the parking lot. Police said no one saw anything unusual, and a motive is unknown.
