High School students charged in connection with home burglaries

Hector Cisneros, Diara Simmons, 3 others arrested

SAN ANTONIO – Five high school students were arrested in connection with burglaries at their classmates' homes.

Police said Hector Cisneros, 17, broke into a home Dec. 13 in the 5200 block of La Posita and stole four pairs of shoes.

Cisneros tried to sell the shoes at Madison High School, police said.

Police arrested four Madison female students the next day in connection with another home burglary, authorities said.

Surveillance video showed the girls taking jewelry and a tablet computer from the home, police said.

Police confiscated one of the girls' cellphones and found a photo of Cisneros posing with the stolen shoes, authorities said.

One of the girls arrested was Diara Simmons, who was charged with burglary of a habitation.

Cisneros was charged with three counts of burglary.

He was released from jail after posting bond.
