SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are still looking for whoever shot and killed a man who was walking to a bus stop more than 30 years ago.

Abraham Montez, 63, was walking on the 2100 block of Castroville Road on June 12, 1982, when he was shot in the head. He died at the scene.

Police said evidence pointed to robbery as a motive in the killing.

"Abraham and his son were planning to travel to Laredo, Texas, for a church outing," police said.

SAPD's Cold Case Squad is still looking for witnesses and suspects connected to the crime.
