Man originally arrested for murder faces new charges, authorities say

SAN ANTONIO – A man who was originally arrested for murder is back in jail for different charges.

Jesse Salinas is accused of shooting and killing Brandon James in September outside of a church on Culebra Road, authorities said.

Salinas bonded out of jail in December and was put under house arrest with a GPS monitor. Police said in January, he was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, theft of a firearm and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Salinas was arrested again without bond and is in the Bexar County Jail.
