SAN ANTONIO – A 21-year-old man was arrested and charged with murder in connection with the fatal shooting of a man during a botched drug deal.

According to an arrest warrant affidavit, Michael Paul Reyes shot and killed Albert Lynn Callahan in the parking lot of a Days Inn Hotel at 13800 Interstate 37 on Jan. 28.

The affidavit said that Callahan met Reyes and Phillip Anthony Munoz for a drug deal that was set up online.

When Callahan walked up to the car that Reyes and Munoz were in, he gave them an empty box and punched Reyes, the affidavit said. Moments later, Reyes shot Callahan and took off.

Munoz was arrested in April after investigators placed him at the scene of the crime using cellphone records.
