Information sought by police in far Northeast Side shooting

Roger Cantu, 29, was shot, killed on Sept. 2

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Police Department and Crime Stoppers want the public’s assistance in tracking down the person responsible for a murder on the city's far Northeast Side.

Police said that on Sept. 2 officers found Roger Cantu, 29, at the intersection of Rittiman Road and Melton Drive suffering from a gunshot wound. Cantu later died, police said.

Officials believe Cantu (seen above) was walking in the area of Rittiman Road and Interstate 35 shortly before the shooting.

At this time, police said they have no suspects in the case.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
