Police nab suspect with gun in hand after South Side shooting Gabriel Sanchez charged with aggravated assault with deadly weapon No description found
SAN ANTONIO – A shooting on the South Side has led to charges for a 35-year-old man.
Gabriel Sanchez has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
San Antonio police officers responded to a call about a shooting around 10 p.m. Thursday on Sussex Avenue, near Pleasanton Road at SW Military Drive.
Police said a man had been shot in the thigh. Officers arrived and found Sanchez with the gun still in his hand, police said.
Officers ordered Sanchez to put the gun down and he complied.
Sanchez was taken into custody and arrested. The victim was expected to recover from his injuries.
