Public helps put suspect behind bars after cosmetics store robbery

SAN ANTONIO – Several Crime Stoppers tips helped police catch a man wanted in a robbery at a cosmetics store.

Investigators say 33-year-old Raymond Claire grabbed a handbasket loaded with merchandise from an employee at the Sephora at the shops at La Cantera last month.

The two scuffled over the basket and Claire ended up hurting the employee's arm.

Last week, KSAT aired surveillance images from the store. After several people called in with tips, the employee was able to identify Claire in a photo lineup.

Claire now facing a robbery charge.
