San Antonio has seen more snow than these freezing cities

SAN ANTONIO – On Thursday, San Antonio received 1.9 inches of snow -- that's more snow than Chicago, Cleveland, Salt Lake City, Boston, New York, Philadelphia and Washington D.C. have seen this winter.

KSAT meteorologist Adam Caskey said the nearly 2 inches of snow that fell is more snow than Detroit, Cleveland, Boston, Philadelphia, New York and Bangor have seen this winter, combined.

Parts of Corpus Christi received 7 inches of snow.

The northern cities have some time to catch up to San Antonio; meteorological winter began on Dec. 1 and will end Feb. 28.

The freezing weather brought out the kid in many as adults tossed snowballs, made snow angels and snowmen.
