3 suspects sought in 1996 murder of SAPD officer's mom

Dorothy Lubbock, 74, was stabbed to death at her home on Roosevelt Ave

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Police Department and Crime Stoppers want the public’s assistance in tracking down the persons responsible for a murder.

The fatal stabbing occurred on Aug. 12, 1996 at a home on Roosevelt Avenue.

According to police, 74-year-old Dorothy Lubbock, a mom of both an SAPD officer and a DPS trooper, was found stabbed to death.

Three men were seen fleeing the area after the stabbing. Police said they believe the motive for the murder was robbery.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
